Hope for a Home

Detroit is the epicenter of many abandoned homes and dilapidated buildings. Although many people consider all of these forgotten places eyesores, we see Detroit as a land of opportunity.

Take this quaint little home, for example. When we arrived on site, the initial state of this abandoned house was rough. According to a resident who lives next door, the house caught fire and almost burned to the ground.

After the fire, the windows were boarded up, and the house was abandoned, left to the elements.

We now have the chance to bring new hope to this home. At JJ’s House Co., our passion is to rebuild the great city of Detroit and see it thrive again. This little house serves as a prime example of what we can accomplish in Detroit when we work together to rebuild.

So far, we have removed all the burned material and replaced it. This includes the dry wall, appliances, cabinetry, and windows. There is also a new sink in the small second bathroom, and the fireplace has been preserved as well.

When the project is completed, we will be sharing photos of the completion, so keep your eyes peeled for those. Until then, we will continue to update everything here.
